It was founded on June 21, 1960, to collaborate in the field of education, committed to the evangelization of culture and service to the Church and the Nation.

In the 90s, an important decision was made regarding the creation of new campus outside the limits of the Province, with the Academic Departments of Buenos Aires, San Salvador and Rafaela, which gave the institution a new configuration, enriched by diversity and possibilities offered in its extensive territory. The heterogeneity of the teaching staff and their social and productive context contribute to enriching the work of UCSE.
